COMPOSITION:
Each 1 ml contains:
- Tilmicosin phosphate………………………………………300 mg
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Do not use for animals hypersensitivity or resistance to tilmicosin.
- Do not administer to horses, donkeys, goats; do not administer to sheep under 15kg b.w.
- Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly.
- Do not concurrently administer other macrolides, lincosamides, or ionophores.
- Do not administer to cattle producing milk for human consumption.
- During pregnancy, use only after a risk/benefit assessment by a veterinarian. Do not use in heifers within 60 days of calving.
- Do not use together with adrenalin or β-adrenergic antagonists such as propranolol.
- DO NOT USE OVERDOSE.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
- For subcutaneous injection only.
- Injection subcutaneously in the neck is suggested.
- If not accessible, inject subcutaneously behind the shoulders and over the ribs.
- The precise weighing of animals is important to avoid overdose. Use single injection dose only.
- Cattle – pneumonia: 1 ml per 30 kg b.w
- Cattle – interdigital necrobacillosis: 0.5 ml per 30 kg b.w.
- Sheep – pneumonia and mastitis: 1 ml per 30 kg b.w
- Sheep – footrot: 0.5 ml per 30 kg b.w.
Withdrawal time:
- For meat: Cattle : 60 days. Sheep : 42 days.
Note:
- Do not inject more than 10ml per injection site.
- Exercise extreme caution and take appropriate measures to avoid accidental self-injection, since injection of this drug in humans can be fatal!
- Tilcosin should be administered only by veterinarian.
- The diagnosis should be reconfirmed if no improvement is noted within 48h.
